Hastings Employability Link Project
Hastings Employability Link Project builds links with local businesses and other organisations to develop tailored work placements for local people looking for work.
This will give local people the opportunity to increase their self-confidence and improve their future employment prospects. For employers, it gives the chance to show a commitment to the wellbeing of the local community.

For interested employers Hastings Trust will:
• Visit employers at their workplace and make arrangements with regard to dates, times and work activities, etc, where appropriate.
• Assess all our job seekers thoroughly with regard to health, benefits status, skills, aptitude etc. If on benefits, JobCentre Plus and or other statutory regulations will apply.
• Run a drop-in job search and advice session for job seekers at the Resource Centre on Mondays between 2-4 pm.
• Evaluate all our clients to see if they need further targeted support and develop any areas which could help them to progress. Also to recommend other schemes and partners, where applicable, for work trials, job vacancies or volunteering.
• Establish a point of contact to be agreed between us and Placement Providers to help deal with any issues a.s.a.p.
• Make contact with more local businesses and organisations to present our ideas and encourage further take up.
