Skills2Build tackles the local lack of jobs and skills in construction by combining training and employment, delivering National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's ) including a new NVQ2 in Maintenance Operations.

Skills2Build will buy buildings needing repair, initially in the Central St. Leonard's Housing Renewal Area.

It will employ apprentices and trainees to refurbish and convert these properties as part of their on-site training.

It will sell the refurbished properties to a housing association or on the open market using the profits to keep the training going into the future.
